Maybe if they are at a competition or something. But at a football game they are just eye candy for old men.

I respectfully disagree. Cheerleading is a sport. they work very hard.

and its not just old men who enjoy it. men of all ages and stripes find cheerleading to be an integral part of the football experience.

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair,
gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your
inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet
spirit which is of great worth in God's sight

Not a sport, per se.

Definition of a sport:

2. Involves physical activity to the potential point of exhaustion.
exhausting.

Cheerleaders, especially competitive, really work themselves. We have to do situps, pushups, all that jazz. Conditioning is a big part. Have you ever seen a good fat cheerleader?

Pam: I can't. I'm really sorry if you misinterpreted things.

Its not really a sport but it has a lot of the physical demands that a sport does have and its very competitive

The actual leading of cheers, I would say, is not sport-like at all. However, when you get down to half-time routines and stunts and competitions, I believe those parts of cheerleading do lend it to be considered a sport.
