trojan shit! HELP ME guys!

i have a trojan on my computer that has been deleting all my files and software. my antivirus cant fucking detect it. if i format the hard disk will it go away?

Yes it will, also try Avast anti virus, and anti spyware

Make sure you save your important files to DVD/CD then format your pc.

It might, But trojans are cunts to get rid of. If your antivirus cant detect it, how do know for sure its there? You might have been hacked or something

Like marshmellowman said, use formatting as a last resort. But, should you need to, re-formatting will very likely get rid of it. (seeing as it gets rid of everything on the computer)

Formatting the disc completely will probably get rid of it, at the cost of everything on your hard drive.

I would get an Ubuntu live CD and boot from that and use a flash drive to get anything you particularly value off it, the trojan will not be able to run in Ubuntu and the most recent Ubuntu live CDs will probably have NTFS support.

Of course, virus scan any files that you do recover afterwards, and don't try to recover any software that you can just download again.

Boot in safe mode, and then system restore to before you had the trojan. Press F8 during boot to get to safemode.

You might have a failing harddrive. Bad sectors essentially deletes files as they are no longer accessible. Go to disk management to see the status of your drives.
