If you format your hard drive, you will undoubtable loose everything on there. And if you try formatting your main Hard drive using Windows, you'll fuck things up, as Windows will try to erase files in use by the OS as you have it turned on.

Ideally you should get out your original Windows install disk and format and re-install using that.

But it does delete EVERYTHING!
