In a more serious vein (since this is all my fault after all ) I think you may be either misinterpreting or overreacting to what is going on here.  There is nothing which occurs in this forum that does not both occur outside the forum and predate this forum.  The theme in here that you are picking up is not a general disdain for all members not yet of our lofty rank, but an expressed contempt for the foolishness that ignorance breeds.  Take for example such heart felt features as Can I get pregnant if...? (Click).  I should hope that this isn't designed to "put down, reject, and ignore" members who are wondering if they are pregnant.  (If it is, it ought to be deleted.)  It is rather an attempt to satirically shed light on the state of sex education in our world.

This forum and how we behave here has served your expressed purpose of being an incentive for younger members, giving them something to strive for.  I made an 'oppresive' topic yesterday about hiding n00b posts and immediately received a message, not of offense, but of longing to be in this forum.  My response, in turn, was of course not to degrade the girl, but to encourage her to hang on, assuring her we needed more reasonable and interesting people in this forum.

If you see aggression and elitism, it is not over every member not present in Yore (though hyperbole might tend toward that statement), but against n00bs (Click) a group that I don't mind rejecting.  That's the other purpose of this place after all, to gain a bit of respite from the immaturity that may plague the rest of the forums.

The atmosphere created in this forum has been hugely successful on all counts.  You should note that in spite of being both newer and more restrictive than either of your other "members only" forums, it has the highest level of activity.
