A friend and I were sorta planning to get a flat together, it all happened so suddenly, and next thing I know we're looking around some flats. 2 of them were awful, one was ok but too far out, one was ok generally and another one was absolutely awesome.
The only problem is it may be slightly out of budget unless we were dead careful.. although I don't think my "room mate" cares too much 'cause her parents pay for her mobile.. internet.. etc... I have to pay for it all myself.

We were going out today to give our administration fee and deposit... all of which I am struggling with at the moment cost-wise, but I just told her I wanted to think about it more 'cause it feels like we're rushing into it. Plus to be honest I actually would prefer to live with more than one person.

I've only known her .. what. 2 months?! It feels weird to say lets live together when I hardly know them. People say to leave it til after christmas and so on, but we'll definitely lose that flat if so.

Not sure what to do.
Ideas? Suggestions? Experiences?
Thanks.

While it may be poorly planned, it sounds like one of those life experiences that you'll look back on and love.

you sure about that? I'm not loving it so far.
Only bits of it. I hate where I live at the moment and I feel pressured into sorting out next year too soon.

You never love it before, or sometimes even during, but a few years down the road, you'll be glad you did. But keep in mind, with life experiences, it doesn't mean that it'll be the greatest time of your life. It means that it'll be a major event that will help in shaping who you will become. You'll have learned a bunch of stuff, and will become wiser.

However, I guess you should rationalize your situation better. I mean, rent is another monthly expense. Add up all your monthly expenses, subtract that from your monthly income, and see how much you have left. If you can live with that, I'd say go for it. If you're going to be too broke to even buy bread and milk, then it's best you don't move out.
