Just wondering if any of you intellectuals smoke.  

I smoke 3-10 a day... usually around 5 or 6.

I don't find smoking particularly beneficial to assisting me in accomplishing all that I hope to do in what short time I have here, that is, unless I am on fire - then I would prefer to be smoking at that point that I might know that something is wrong with me and quickly extinguish the flame.

No I went through a brief phase of smoking but I soon realised that it was a complete waste of money. It's really expensive in England so I just got tired of paying so much just to damage my health at the end of the day.
