2-3 years older i always say. but i had a 14 year old friend go out with an 18 year old. but age difference to me doesn't matter towards other people as long as they be careful and don't get knocked up

I think age is just a number, to some extent. Unless we're crossing the lines to pedophilia, then we're good. But I think lots of times it should be judged in case by case scenario.

I personally do not think that age difference matters. I am 15 right now, turning 16 at the end of March and my boyfriend just turned 19 at the beginning of December. We are emotionally matched and love eachother. Our parents are fine with it even though he is 19 now. So if you are happy with someone then it is fine to date them, and I don't think that it should be illegal, because someone in grade 9 can date someone in grade 12 but then when the person is in grade 10 and the other person is in college it is suddenly illegal.
