Hi,
I was wondering if there was a way to make OS X automatically go to the login screen after a certain amount of time... sort of like having it go to a password locked screensaver, but I like the login screen better. is this possible? i'm on 10.5.

Yes, go to System Preferences --> Security. Check the box that says "Log out after x minutes of inactivity" where x is a variable you can change.
