Is community college really that bad?

I think it's kinda not so good personally.  At college you want to get your Bach. Degree, masters, etc.  A bachelor's degree typically looks the best.  This doesn't mean that you can't get a decent job somewhere though.  It just means your chances of landing that job are smaller.  Not the END of the world, but try to keep a chin up I guess.

An associate's degree is an excellent way to obtain your generals and transfer to a four-year school. Obtaining a degree from a two-year college pretty much automatically means you can get into any university in your state with credits transferring easily. I'm planning on obtaining my AA from my community college, then transferring - with much ease, I might add! - to a four-year to obtain a bachelor's degree in business.

Do your research, andymac1. Most people who go to two-years transfer and get another degree. :)

I think it's a GREAT thing that you turned your life around. It takes people well into their late twenties to realize what you did. And that will certainly show when you're applying for jobs.

I go to a community college and  I LOVE IT. I'd much rather go to a CC than a University.
For one, it's a lot cheaper. I save around $10,00 a semester.

I don't like how classes run at universities. I like how I get to have one on one time with the professors. We communicate VERY easily.. There's about 100 less people in a class at a CC rather than a University. It's much easier for the professors to devote their time to EACH student. They actually know your name.

I save a lot of money by being able to live at home while going to college AND working full time.

It's the same education you'd receive at a University, but it does look more "prestige" if you attend a University.

Either way, you're still furthering your education.

Like others have mentioned, you can still transfer to a university after 2 years. It's a smart way to go, IMO.

not to be like the only negative guy here but it wasn't the game that messed you up. it was the lack of interest in school you had. which is normal. so don't blame yourself. or the game. it's just how people are at that age. i know i was.

but its cool that you're trying to get everything back on track. good luck
