I have OSX and I don't think it's every crashed I also duel boot Vista and it's always having problems

Never--Windows crashes are usually caused by crap add-on software.  Of course, the way Windows is designed, you need to add things on.  They should have better designed the OS around that fact in the beginning.

I'd rather be able to choose my software and not have the base system choose it for me.
Windows is so-so with this despite your comments, only Linux has true flexibility.
