So I got $ 500 dollars out of all the scholarships I applied for an my tuition this semester is about $1000 not including books. I only bring home $300 a week. Where do I go to get student loans? I do not want my mother paying for this. What can I do?

Check to see if there's anything else you can do at the Financial Aid's office. I'm sure there's more you can do to help with your tuition that they can help you with.

$1000?  Try having $37,000.

Try looking into My Rich Uncle loan services for college students.  I heard it's really good.

Actually, the best way to check for them is to go to the Financial Aide's office and ask them if they recommend any loans or such.  Maybe they even have a loan service to help? WHo knows, but check with them first,

After completing their schooling students join college and university for higher studies. Today cost of almost all the courses are very high, due to this student with weak financial backgrounds find it difficult to continue their studies. To help these students lenders have introduced college loans. College loans not only cover your tuition fee, hostel fee, book etc. College loans are offered at low interest rate and flexible repayment options.

Always do research if your going down the loan route because  many universities collect money from certain loan services in exchange for recommending them to their students. Try a work program through your school and Fafsa if you havent already.

I take issue with that advice. Surely most people here are well aware of the ongoing student loan scandal, wherein universities pushed students towards taking loans that were less financially sound choices in order to make more commission money from the loan agencies. Independent research is the way to go.

For the original poster, one option may be to have your mother take out the Federal Plus loan for parents, and then you pay her back. It has a fixed interest rate of 8.5%, and is not influenced by your lack of credit or meager earning power. Most major loan granters, from Chase to Sallie Mae, will disburse it.
