I drink alcohol occasionally. Possibly to the point you would class it as "binge drinking", but I have never had so much as to be out of control or not aware of my actions. I have never done drugs, but since my exboyfriend was a regular user of cannabis, and occasional user of god knows what else, I have become somewhat desensitised to the whole issue of recreational drugs. I certainly find it sad that people these days feel they can't have a good time without smoking, snorting or injecting something. In general I think the health risks of regularly using most drugs outweigh the benefits (although I have never experienced the 'benefits' so what do I know?). I don't plan on ever trying drugs (excluding alcohol) myself, that is my personal choice. Other people can do as they please with their own bodies, as long as it doesn't end up hurting somebody else. Provided they can make a mature, informed choice about it (i.e they are not young children, and they have been provided with all the facts) then I cannot judge how people choose to live their lives. I drink alcohol every now and then, or if I'm going out a lot, I'll drink it every other day. But I never get to the stage where I can't remember anything the next day. Tried weed but it didn't do anything for me, since there was only one joint going around the room with 10 of us... but I dont want to try it again.

Yeah man. Being an intellectual stoner is an awesome life dude. From getting up on the weekdays, doing homework when I can, somehow passing math tests without being in class most of the week, to getting high every weekend, shrooming friday night, and thizzin through the streets during the day. I'm making my teenage years fun, while leaving windows open for success when I can't depend on drugs for everything.

I've never smoked, drank, or done drugs and never plan to. I don't understand why people do. It seems inane...

People do it for various reasons. I do it because it's fun and it makes everything in general more happy and fun to experience, nothing more than that. Other people do it for their own reasons, some of which is how it can inspire creativity, and of course mental and physical addictions for others.

I am a social drinker, but have tried marajuana once, and I'm quite ashamed of myself for doing so. It was a horrible experience. I felt out of control, paranoid and scred, and never want to be put in that position again. I succumbed to peer pressure and suffered the consequences.

I have never used any of those drugs. I plan to drink alchohol, but not anything else. I stand by my belief that I don't need them to have fun.

This is interesting, according to the poll a lot of you use or have used drugs. Kinda beats that stereotype that all drug users are idiots. It seems as if many of you are much more open minded to the idea of recreational substances.
