No. Honestly, I would never put my life, potential, and everything down the toilet so I could be part of some superficial thrill ride for a couple of minutes. Why would I want to give up everything so I can get addicted, and possible die? Its ridiculous how drug infested this country is today.

Luckily there are so many drugs out there that aren't addicting and pose little to no threat when used responsibly and in moderation.

I've done my fair share of dabbling. Never addicted to anything but cigarettes. I have enjoyed drinking legally for 3 years now, I no longer smoke weed but I did in high school, I've used ecstasy several times, mushrooms 3 times, coke 2 times. At my age you begin to see the dark side of the drugs, mainly coke in my experience, as it seemingly addicted half of my friends all at the same time. All I can do is sit back and watch as they do line after line, hoping that when they will hit their bottom before they have a heart attack. While I advocate moderation and responsible drug experimentation, I don't think it's smart to go into it thinking that "addiction won't happen to me", because it can. This is why I will never use cocaine again, I know that every line makes the next one easier and easier, moving you step by step closer to habitual use and addiction. I will never touch meth or heroin for the same reasons. It's like playing with fire.

Yes, so far I've been on cocaine, ecstasy, shrooms, alcohol, marijuana, cigs, and a few different prescription pills. I must be honest, I do smoke marijuana everyday. It's definitely my "drug of choice." I don't care to drink, I think the only time I really ever drink is on New Years with the family. Cocaine I've seen completely change people, and I don't think I'll ever be touching it again. I hope to maybe try shrooms again, peyote, salvia, and opium. I obviously don't have a problem with people who use drugs, as long as they do so responsibly. There is definitely a fair amount of risk involved when it comes to using drugs, I won't deny that, however, there is some amount of risk involved with nearly, if not everything, in life.

But alot of people don't take them that way. They take them dangerously.
In the context of your original point, that response doesn't quite work. I believe that Acustico was noting that you do not have to risk addiction, death, ect. to use drugs rather than making a pan-drug argument.

The real question should not be whether you use them; The real question should be the reason you would need them in the first place.
In that case, why not question you unfounded and somewhat offensive assumption that drug users need substances? That seems like a good question to raise, too.
