How do you hang things in your dorm?

So I have a bulletin board and message board that I want to hang up on my walls in my dorm but am I going to be able to do that? You can't put holes in the walls, obviously, so drilling in screws to hang them up like I would at home isn't an option. I know for posters and such you would use some kind of sticky putty but what's strong enough to hold up a bulletin board? Is there anything that I can easily remove without damage?

Enough of those double sided sticky pads can hold up a message board. Will be annoying getting them off, but as long as its painted wall it shouldn't be too bad. You'll just need to take care, so as not to load too much paper on your board.

I've never lived in a dorm, but I know some people use special velcro for their bulletin boards.

they have this hook thingy at lowes or home depot that you can get that is flat on the back and a small hook on the front and you stick it where you want, you pull a strip behind it to remove it and your wall is as good as new. no paint peeling or nothing. Thats what I used.

I have used something similar, and am planning on using them when i go to Uni. As long as you don't overload the board it should be fine.

Now, I suppose this is the time for me to say something
profound.... Nothing comes to mind, let's do it.

That sticky shit never worked for me, plus it makes the posters have a grease spot. I used this like velcro tape for everything, it was amazing.

I used those double-sided stick things that 3M makes. Also, some dorms have other options you can use, such as corkboards already installed and such. My dorm had made hooks to put over the molding at the top so you're able to hang mirrors and corkboards.

Also, you can buy the hooks that go over your door so you can hang big stuff.

t depends on what you are hanging on the walls, for the most part. HOT GLUE works really really well, if you have cinder block type walls. Another idea is adhering yarn, string, hemp, etc. to what you want to hang and then hanging it from a small 3M hook. Of course, tape works really well too. Get the heavy duty double sided stuff, so that it will stick the longest. I would not recommend using the sticky tack stuff... it is REALLY hard to get off of walls when you are trying to move out!
