They'll tell you the first day of class. Do you really need to find out before class starts? (I know that my school doesn't...but I'm not sure if other schools are different.)

Just find out your professor's e-mail (normally you can ook it up at your school's website) and e-mail him/her.

I want to know before hand so that I can get them used.  I'm afraid that if I wait until the first day, it will be harder to get them cheap and used because everyone will be going and getting the books.

Heh, well, normally from my experience...most people don't actually go to buy the book until the first week of classes is already over.  :D

But it's good of you to want to be so organized. Definitely e-mail your teacher, he'll probably be impressed with you getting a jump on things.

I bought my books already a month before classes start.
If your classes use this site, it is probably best to go thru: http://efollet.com
That's where I got mine because my school store uses them and then they pick out the books for you at the school store instead of you having to pick them out.

And I got all my books used.  And it cost me about $200-$250, damn school.
