No, I see what you mean. It's a fact that the feeling of "love" is caused by chemicals in your body, and yeah, that does make it seem a little less "special," as you said.

Yes- however, that doesn't mean it's not special or whatever. The only way it cease to have meaning is if someone could 100% predict everything you do. Which, due to sheer complexity as well as things like the uncertainty principle, is impossible.

Everything in life in a chemical reaction, which is why people with mental instabilities can often be said to have chemical imbalances. These hormones floating around in your brain control every thought, action, reaction, and all that is unlisted. While it is true that the human mind can be broken down to these very simple chemicals, life is no less as amazing as it is without this realization.

Actually, I think you're going about this the wrong way. This isn't a matter of science vs emotion, this is more a matter of working out why we feel certain emotions. You cannot fall in love with everyone, just because science wants you to. Certain people are attracted to other people. And you cannot help who you fall in love with. However, everything we feel is controlled by our bodies, so yes to a certain extent it is only a chemical reaction, but love isn't lust and lust is what makes us want to "mate".
