I'm with you on this one actually, drinking does help depression, but only for a temporary time, if you are having depressive thoughts then perhaps you should think about opening your options a bit, and it doesn't have to be a difficult thing to do either, you could talk to someone you trust at school or college like a counsellor etc.

It really is up to you what you choose to do, but, drinking your troubles away is definitely NOT the smartest thing to do, it just causes more problems in the long run, so like i said, talk to a trustworthy person, perhaps join a small support group, anything that can help you lose your depression in the long term will be greatly beneficial to you.
