Going to be a freshman this year and I just bought an ipod and a latptop. I'm worried that I might accidentally break one of these and have to pay out the ass to replace it. Student insurance companies claim they will replace an accidentally damaged item but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this type of situation or has heard about someone using student insurance.

Think about this: Why would ANY insurance company pay because you "oops!" broke something?

So when you're happy (Hurray!), or sad (Aw!),
Or frightened (Eeek!), or mad (Rats!)
An interjection starts a sentence right.

Not any kind of student insurance I am aware of.  As for regular insurance, as far as I know, nothing covers "accidents" like that.  You should just be careful with your stuff.
