Ok well last Thursday i tried out for Gospel Choir at my school. And out of 169 only 35 made it...and everyone congrat me cause i was one of the 35! Well im also on the church choir and last night i like blew my voice out preparing for our winter songs and what not. Now anyone have any tips to help my voice get a little better in the next 30 minutes? I've tried candy and drinking water but everytime i sing to me it sounds scratchy and hoarse.

Try breathing, let the air flow and then sing again.  Keep at it and work the vocal muscles and clear the throat.

You need to work with it like one would with a painting, if that makes any sense. :p

I dont know, i dont sing.
Um, well if you had a sore throat you would take medicine...
So mabye if you took some beechams or something it might smooth things over a bit.
Or take a spoonful of honey.

By the way, your name..
Evanescence???
If so, awesome.
If you don't know what on earth im talking about... nevermind.
