Hey I'm a senior in high school. I'm going to be going to college soon. I am wondering how living on campus is? How is it sharing a room with someone else? any experiences?

The quality of life on campus is quite a broad question. For schools in major urban areas like NYU, not good, because so much of the experience is off campus. Same goes for schools with huge commuter populations. For somewhat more isolated schools, it can be good, but it depends alot on what you put out, who you friend with, and the climate of the school. For example, while students stay on campus and don't commute at PCC, the campus life there is still terrible.

I can't speak to the room sharing concern, as I have a single. Many colleges offer *some* singles to freshman, so if you are interested in such an option, look into it sooner rather than later. If not, remember that a successful cohabitation arrangement relies upon following an agreed upon set of rules, being flexible, and trying to work through problems maturely. In cases where a truly significant issue arises, talk to the RA. If it still cannot be fixed, remember that you can usually get your room moved.
