I hope you didn't watch the Dustin Hoffman version. I hear he ruined it (though he is great in movies). The one I watched is apparently somewhat hard to come by on video, but the person I aquired it from is an emmy judge so she gets ahold of these random movies.
It was hardly boring to me. At first it was very boring (but I think all plays are very boring at the start). Then as you move on and the whole family gets ripped to shreds, and diving into the horribly tormented Willy Lowman. Dennehy was perfect, I usually watch these with a keen eye for how the actor is playing his part but I couldn't keep focused. He just WAS Willy Lowman.
