I don't think you realize how difficult it is for some people to not care. Making statements like "ignore them and move on" does NOT work for some people. No matter how much people like this try, they cannot use this "technique", you could say.

Sure, being fat may not be a big deal, but have you heard what some people say about larger people? Society is messed up. Unless you sit in your house for the rest of your life, it's impossible to avoid society, and the rude, mind-wrecking comments.

You're lucky. By the way you're talking, I guess you could be a 1000 pound 65-year old dude who's homeless, jobless, and you could think you could talk to pigeons and pigs. People could know this and you wouldn't care at all. Congrats.

Too bad it doesn't work that way for everyone. I would know, since I'm one of those people.
