Classes from different schools tend to vary. I've never personally did this, but I've known people who have. It can go two ways really. One, there could be no problems at all. Two, the classes you take at a community college wouldn't count towards your graduation from your university. That's the most likely result. Universities don't have the same standardized classes for majors for eligibility to graduate. It does differ. One school might require a class to graduate, while another may require something completely different.

From what I know, some classes are trasferrable, and some classes you HAVE to take at the school you want to graduate from. I can take my general classes, like the basic ones that I have to fulfill from general areas from a community college. Likewise, since I would be out of state until after summer, the university fees for a summer class (not to mention continuing the 1 hour commute over summer) wouldn't be worth it and the like.

Then try it out and see what happens.
