During the past quarter century, abortion has been the most debatable subject of controversy all over the world .i know it's s an issue where ethics, emotions and law come together. Abortion makes a moral, social and medical problem that makes many people create an emotional and violent feeling as many lw members did !. There are many points of view toward abortion but the only two differences are "pro-choice" and "pro-life". I 've seen many lw members argue about this topic and i doubt many people are for abortion saying ,"omg! ABORTION! KILLING UNBORNS! PLEASE! HAVE A HEART Etc.ok, I'm not asking again wether you support that or not because this topic has already created and arguing about .however my question is :

I know that in many countries ABORTION is BANNED, it's ILLEGALE.and women who really want to abort have only one choice :leaving the country and abort in other country where it is legal. I only know gulf and I think sweeden as well but I'm not sure of the last one...
On the other hand ,eventhought abortion is legal in many countries,in some of these countries married women can't abort without the permission of her husband like what's happening in most Arabic countries (Middle east + Egypt ) and Turkey.
In Tunisia (and without any doubt it's the only Arabic country which "do"that) ABORTION is legal and women can abort without their husband's permission.
I strongly see the decision to abort a pregnancy is only the mother's choice so why banning it in some countries since without legal abortion women would be denied their constitutional right of privacy and liberty and If abortion were illegal it would force poor women to bear and raise children they can't afford to bring up.
Anyway : what about your country : Abortion is it legal or illegal and if it's legal are woman able to abort without her husband's agreement. Do u know any countries where abortion is illegale ?

In America abortion's legal. The laws about it depend on the state. I think maybe some states you have to notify the dad but mostly the law says that it's the mother's decision.

Legal for 1/3 of the pregnancy
Then the state decides for the 2nd trimester
Then illegal for the final trimester
I think.

it's illegal but de facto legal, abortionists aren't prosecuted, they pay off authorities or politicians, moderate amounts, and operate a few clinics across the nation

Hopefully it is going to go back to the states so that abortion on demand will become illegal, but rape victims and medical emergancies can be the exception to the rule.

It was illegal in Ireland when I lived there a year ago.

The poor girls had to go to England to get it done. Terrible situation - it made them feel ashamed that they couldn't even do it in their own country.

in Norway: mother's decision until 12th week, mother + doctor until 15th week, I think. After that, one can only have an abortion in special cases
