i have a question for you ( american football players only)

does all the padding you wear actually stop yourself from getting hurt?

cos i play rugby and all i wear is a mouthguard and if i get hit in the head some headgear and i dont get hurt at all, sure the next day im a bit sore but its like that with any contact sport

I used to play my freshman year, now some aussies and whatnot  may call us pussies for wearing so much protection.
But i can guarantee you, if there was a game  against American football players,  the majority of rugby players would be instantly crushed.

I used to be into powerlifting, and i hanged out with world class powerlfiters.
The guys you have pictured....trust me...are NO MATCH to our american football players.
Now, it is obvious  this is patriotism in your behalf, you guys don't  want to admit that American football players would beat rugby players.
But it's  true.
No shame in admitting that.
American football players  are made tougher,  they have better genetics, and they train smarter, hence why they are taller and bigger.

It's nothing special, but seeing blatant lies saying rugby players can beat  American football players is preposterous.

lol @ latin muscle. I don't see why you're arguing. Even American Football players themselves say that Rugby is a much harder and fiercer sport. Rugby players could easily own American Football players.

I am not arguing, simply noticing  you guys  won't admit our players  would beat the rugby ones.
Average American football player is more than 6 feet, more than 200 pounds.
I have seen rugby games, these guys are small compared te the giants from America.
Now...they are for sure fierce and though, but i am talking about impact sport.
With endurance, the rugby players would surely win, but when it comes to outlifting, impacting, the Americans would win hands down.

So each has it's own benefits.
I hope in the future they would bring some rugby players and face them off against  American players.
That would be awesome.
I know  tons of people would love to see that.

It's not about powerlifting. These guys are just hard nuts in general. Well the Rugby Union guys are not as hard as the Rugby League guys but still. I was watching this documentary the other day where 3 American footballers from the NY Giants came over to the UK. They were put up against 3 average rugby players and tested in speed, strength stamina, intelligence etc. Guess who won in every area.....rugby guys.
