Well, it's shitty that you guys can't get along and that she's an alcoholic and whatnot. I would go be the witness in her wedding though. You don't want to regret it. I don't know how old you are; but I would just be outta there when I turned 18. You could waste a lot of your life trying to make everything perfect between you and your mom. If she won't try, I wouldn't completely give up, but I wouldn't waste a lot of time or energy trying.

Go to the wedding - not going won't help your relationship with your mum.

Have the whole family sit down and discuss every problem. Even grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Everyone needs to be in on this so that you can have a sense of security while you talk with your mother. Even though your mother is an alcoholic, you are still her daughter and no matter what, she will always love you. With alot of support from family and friends, your mother should get the picture. Once you do that, you should seriously talk to her about getting some help with her alcohol problem. If she refuses, you need to be confident enough to get help for her.... like an intervention. Also, with the support of your family and friends, you will have more time for your baby and less stress, which is good for any new mommy. Lift your head up.... it's a new day. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE!!!!
