Ok so my best friend is having a emotional break down. Her boyfriend like abused her and she wants some closure but i can't help her find that because she said she can only find that closure with the guy that abused her. but he is in jail. she still loves him though. i have like no clue what to do about it because thats all she says. she refuses to say anything else about it. Do you have any ideas on how to get her to stop crying?!

She'll cry herself out.

Let her cry.

I'm assuming that her parents and the police know. Is she in therapy at all? Can she visit him, and tell him how she feels, or something?

*sigh*, this is something I don't understand. If someone hurt you (and they're not family), why would you want to see them for comfort? I understand seeing them for revenge but why for comfort?

Anyways, to the question, I'd just let her cry away. She's probably not thinking straight so reasoning with her may or may not be worthwhile.

Therapy will most likely take some time for it to have a good effect.

Personally, I'd say she's stupid. Someone abuses you and you stay with them. That's fine if you're staying with them out of fear. But being sad and wanting to be with them when they're away from you seems almost masochistic. If she's not masochistic, then she's likely stupid.
