Sweden is on its way to allow homosexuality be a reason good enough to get a permanent residence permit. Permanent residence permit was given to an Iranian guy who had to escape from his home country because he was living together with his boyfriend while not keeping it a secret. Before escaping, the guy had been arrested repeatedly. He was living with a foreign diplomat who by now has left Iran.
