I asked my roommate if he would like to go on a date.  he said no...but he'd enjoy going to a bar to go dating with other guys with me.  

still...I really like him, though.  but no means no.  oh well.  at least he's willing to hang out and stuff.  can't beat friendship, eh?  good times.

plus, it's a definite answer, so I'm not really wondering if there could have been another meaning or whatever.  I didn't beat around the bush, I just went as direct as I could, given I was so uber nervous.

I honestly think you should get another room-mate. It could be so bad hanging out with someone that you like and knowing that you cannot do the intimate things to them that you really want to do. Thats how it is between me and the girls I like.
