My ex and I broke up because he can't handle the distance between us anymore (almost 3,000 miles). We were going to go to school together but now his Mom won't let him go back...and, quite honestly, I don't know if I'm going to be okay there... I'll have to see where he used to live, where I parked and walked across the road to get to him, where I sat and waited for a taxi with him, where we ate together, where I went to class with him...and I'm afraid I'm going to have a full on emotional breakdown. I don't know if I can handle this.

I'm sorry to hear that. I know it's hard with all the reminders. But you are going to have to face them. It will be very hard, and yes you might break down. But then you will just have to dry your tears, and hold your head up high. Have a few girls nights out. Try to do as many things as you can to take your mind off of it. For the first while maybe try to avoid those places if you can...then slowly stop. I know it isn't as easily done as said, but you have to try to move on. If you know he isn't coming back, then learn to accept it. Things are going to be hard, I know, but as time goes on...it'll slowly get better. Pm me if you would like.
