The idea of "heaven" seems...

dull...to me. To die and then enter an eternity in the afterlife, where all is at peace and all is lovely. No problems, no conflict. No anything. No fun.

What makes life so interesting is that it isn't perfect. There's room to grow. Suffering and struggling is involved, and because that is involved it makes every moment that much more ...cherishable, I guess. Heaven just seems like hell to me (irony not intended) Sooo booooorinnggggg....

Happiness is not a type of object to me or something you get from everything being perfect. its the feeling you get once you pass all those obstacles and climb up those heights... There doesnt seem to be any heights in heaven...just tranquility.

Once one stops to think about...hell sounds much more preferable than heaven. To suffer and struggle for an eternity. Suffering and pain is what already makes life so great...so...why cant hell be great? An endless strugglesounds better to me than an endless standing in line.

I know this sounds strange, but I cant shake this feeling off.

I dont want to go to heaven after I die. Id rather lose consciousness.

really. eternal happiness man. it's the endgame of all struggle. struggling is only good because you get happiness out of it in the end.

It simply doesnt make sense to me. You would have to assume that the happiness and enlightenment in the end would be sooo powerful, so great, that it could shine through an eternity of no growth or problems. That idea can flow for some, but just not me. I once heard in a movie that the Gods envy us, they envy us because we can die and that makes our stay here in earth meaningful, while they know that they will live forever and that their time is valueless since its infinite. (they were pagan gods btw)

Not trying to convert you btw. Not atheist either.

Hypothetical problems with heaven.
-Boring.
   -You end up knowing everything
-You can't commit a sin. (unless you're satan)
-What does that say about free will once you're in heaven?

-If you're going to exist forever, what's the point of doing anything now when you can do it later. No matter how long you put things off, you could still achieve everything which means that you will do nothing at all.

-You're gods little bitch. You work your ass off in your mortal life, go to heaven where you loose your free will and you're still gods bitch.

I suppose you have to assume that the pleasure or contentment you feel in heaven is nothing like the pleasure and contentment you feel on earth. Its something so completley different and higher humans can't understand it in their mortal life. In fact its probably wrong to say you are 'happy' in heaven because for the reasons already posted, it can't be anything like the happiness we know now.

Heaven is like hanging with your friends and rich boss for ever and ever.
Hell is like hanging with a HUGE jerk and his friends for ever and ever.
I'll stick with Heaven thanks.
