I am a terminally person. I have cystic fibrosis and diabetes. The combination is deadly, and from what I've noticed over the past few months it's very hard to stay healthy. Now I am at the point where I rather go ahead and let the disease kill me. But theres just one thing though. It's how do I tell my mom and doctors that I don't want to really continue treatment anymore. Thats the only thing, I already stopped taking my medicine about a day ago and I already am feeling bad. When ever I cough I can feel all the mucus clogging my lungs already. Now i just want to just rest, it's been a hard 19 years. Now I just want to rest I can't fight this battle with this disease forever.

So I just need help figuring out how I can tell me mom and all my doctors that I wish to discontinue treatment. Once I am able to tell them I will be content. I just want rel easement now. I know my dad and family will be disappointed. But it's been a hard 19 years and now I realize how hard it is when I try alone to get healthy I just can't do it. I can't work,goto school or meet people without my illnesses causing problems. So if you have any ideas on how i can make things easier for me to tell me family and doctors.

I hope you guys can help me finally seek some rest.

I would suggest stopping.  Would you rather have no chance of anything or keep your fighting chance.  So it gives you problems but what about on the good days?  Dont sentance yourself to death try living a bit more.

The choice to continue with treatment is totally your choice.  Only you can know what it really feels like to live with both of these diseases.

But seriously dude, please keep trying.  There is so much more out there for you.  As much crap as I give you on this siter for this and that, you are a cool guy and you deserve way better.  Please please reconsider what you're doing.  I care about you a lot and I don't want to see you go.

I'm serious.  I dont know if there even is anything I can say to make you change your mind, but I would be quite upset if you just threw in the towel. I know you are way better than that...keep fighting dude.

OMG, this makes me feel like shit now for my immature problems. The way you say you want to "rest" makes me sad because it sounds like you're suffering but you're such a nice guy despite that.

You don't necessarily have to tell your doctor though. You can just stop taking the medications and all that jazz. Just be sure to go over it with your family, and make them understand what you're feeling. It's tough, but it all comes down to what you want.
