i don't have vista but a couple of my friends do and they normally don't like it but i have read all the reviews and all i see and hear about is problems. they should definitely keep distributing it just in case people want to downgrade. i think most people should just get a mac because i love it so much better than i ever did windows. it could be because my windows desktop is so old and slow but i still think my mac is better. but back to the question... stopping the production of XP is a bad move

Macs are not for gamers, so there are plenty of people who will stick to Windows based machines.  And many can't afford the Mac hardware and would rather build their own machine anyway.

They should stop distributing it.

Vista is more secure, and they need to push forward with Vista. It runs fine on the hardware it was designed to run on, but if they keep backstepping with XP, then no one will ever give Vista a proper try.

I've given Vista plenty of proper trying, it still is slower, bloated and just as vurnable to security, just hasn't been around as long as XP to be exploited to the same extent yet, after all if your trying to infect the masses, you'll go with the most popular OS first, which is still XP.

Vista has some promise to it though, but I think it still needs alot of work for me to ever consider running it anytime soon.
