There is a very, very big difference between denying someone the right to practice their religion and telling them their religion is stupid.

The actions of most religions has helped to create the questioning of it's value.  Lies, politics, greed, hypocrisy, racism, molestation and on and on and on.  Forcing beliefs on people with these types of associated issues will continue to cause further decay in religious beliefs and followings.  In my opinion it is well deserved.

First of all, You pretty much just contradicted yourself with the whole freedom of religion thing. "They did not come here for "freedom of religion" they came here for freedom from one kind of religion" think about that statement. That's what freedom of religion is, not having to have whatever religion it was they had before.

No, freedom of religion is having the freedom to have whatever religion you want. Only being allowed to follow one version of one religion != freedom of religion.

Lastly, Everybody who replied, with the exception of very few people, Obviously didn't get what I was trying to get across. You are one of those people who just didn't get it.

We got your main point, but it's one that we've heard many times and don't really care about, so instead we focused on the historical inaccuracies of your post.

Ok, So I'm pretty new to this particular forum, But I thought it was where you went to discuss your religion and things about it. So far all I see is a bunch of people bashing everybody elses religions. Which is just kinda sad to me.
Correct me if I'm wrong but this country (USA) was started by colonist who came over here so they could have freedom of religion or no religion at all if they wanted.
I know most everybody believes very different things, but must we tell them their religion is wrong just because we don't believe the same things they do. If that's the case then all the people who fled their countries many years ago should have just stayed cause at the rate everything seems to be going we are turning into those very countries people fled from.
I know I believe very differently than alot of people, but I never tell them that their religion is wrong or that the "god" they "worship" doesn't exist because everybody has the right to believe what they want and who am I to tell anybody their wrong for believeing in something.
  Just think about it.

I don't think you quite understand what "freedom of religion" means.

It does not mean that your religion will never be criticized or that everyone must think that you are just as right as they are.

It does mean that the government cannot prohibit you from practicing and believing the things that you believe and wish to practice, so long as those things do not infringe on the rights of others.

Honestly, I think you missed the point of the whole post.

Exactly what was the point, if not to say "stop telling people that they're wrong"?

The point was to get people to stop bashing each others religions. I never said they couldn't think other people were wrong or anything.

So let me guess, you're a history major? If you got the point of the whole post, but you didn't care about it at all, why both replying?! I know, It's because you're a pompus jerk.

Keep trying.

Guilty as charged. But I'm also right, and I'd rather be pompous than wrong (that comes with being a pompous dick...).

Just because you think you're right doesn't mean you are. Get over yourself.

Just because you think you're right doesn't mean you are.

So you have a counter-argument to US history?

Define "bashing."
