I just found a cat and if it weren't for some little kid hanging out near the spot, I wouldn't have known who it belonged to.  No collar or tags or anything.  If I wasn't allergic to cats I would've just taken it home and kept it.

Do you have tags for your pets?  If not, how do you expect them to be returned to you if they get lost?  Or have you not thought that far ahead?  Just curious.

Yeah. She also has a chip in her ear, and I just call the number on this paper if she gets lost.

We take my dog`s tag`s off when she comes in the house because they make so much noise when she walks around.

Other: My one cat has a collar but no tags. We live in a small neighborhood and everyone knows him...I should still get some made for him, though. My kittten doesn't have either because she never goes outside.

Sounds like a hassle.  It can't be that loud. =\

None of my dogs have tags but all of them wear collars. In this area, you don't see very many animals wear tags, really. Not very many people can afford that... I'm surprised I see collars on more than half the animals here.

The dog did have a tag but it broke, we haven't bothered to replace it.

The cats don't have tags because we don't want to put collars on them. Our old cat nearly died because he got his collar caught on barbed wire.

Seeing as cats are out and about all the time I can't see why anyone would see a cat and think it was lost.

It's only five bucks to get a tag made with your name and address.  =\

No, because you cannot put tags on a rat. Nothing to do with being irresponsible and lazy.

But, my boyfriend's dogs do. But they do not wear them in the house. They take them off unless they are going out in the front yard. If they are in the house, or in the backyard, the collars could easily get caught on something and hang them.

No, my cat doesn't wear a tag.

She used to wear one, but she's now a much older cat and she never leaves our back garden. In fact, she hasn't really gone anywhere near anything we can't see from our windows since she was hit by a car a few years ago. She's also terrified of strangers, amongst other things (she's a rescue cat and appears to have had a pretty rough time) and she prefers to stay indoors most of the time. I guess the world must be a scary place for her.

Anyway, so because she never goes far at all, we no longer make her wear one because it's just not worth it. She hates wearing it, and we're as sure as we can be that she'll be safe.

There's also quite a few other cats on our road, and we all know each others', so it's likely anyone who found her would know whose she was anyway.

My pets do not have tags.  I do not think anyone makes tags small enough or wet enough for my pets.

Dogs should wear tags at all times, even when they are inside because you never know when they might accidently run out of the house.  The only way someone could identify your dog is if it was wearing a tag.
