I don't have my cat tagged, because she's an indoor cat, and wouldn't go outside. She has decided she wanted out one time. She was out for less than five minutes, and was on my porch, under the chair, in the corner, yowling. It's not a matter of, "What if she gets out?" It's more a matter of, "Who forced her to go out there, and how many stitches do they need?" I've got a scar across my chest for trying to take her outside more than five years ago. 
EDIT: But it makes me really happy that you care so much about the animals (or at least it seems you do).
