You take Tylenol, dont you? Had a vaccination? Ever been treated with any sort of modern medicine?  

More and more Im beginning to realize that large corporations are the reason marijuana is not legal. Marijuana produces one of the highest grade ethanol fuels, so of course the oil companies dont want it to be legal for industrial uses, because that would be bad for them.

It can be used to treat all sorts of ailments, with less longterm effects to the body than Tylenol, and certainly less than drugs such as codeine (which is made out of opium).

Its also not physically addicting like many pharmaceuticals. The only reason things like codeine are legal, and marijuana isnt, is because BigPharma knows that they wouldnt be able to keep control over marijuana. They would have to many competitors, simply because its easy to grow, and can be used in its raw form.

So, BigPharma and oil companies basically own our politics (at least in the US). If somethings bad for either of those industries, it will be squashed, regardless of how helpful it might be to the rest of the country.

When you look at the economics of it all, its not that surprising. Marijuana can be used as a safer and cheaper alternative to many medications and hemp can be used for thousands upon thousands of products. While cotton dries up and kills the ground, cannabis actually replenishes it. There are so many reasons why its better its no wonder they are afraid of it. It has so many uses, companies would loose billions if it was utilized to its fullest potential.
