I currently have a dual 64-bit processor from Intel. It's 2.8GHz.
The problem is, I've got the 32-bit version of Windows. Will there be a ridiculous, considerable and noticeable difference if I upgrade the OS, or is there no point in doing so?
I don't really expect answers, so this is mostly a thread where I'll ponder the question by myself.

The only noticable difference between using any 32 / 64bit OS is the amount of ram it supports
32Bit supports upto 3Gb ram, 64bit supports at least 32Gig
It will not noticably effect anything else

There is no real speed change between them. All you end up with is more address space so you can have past 4 gig or RAM and video memory combined.

QFT. And unless you are an application whore who likes to have every app on their computer going at once, you won't need more than 3Gb.
