I love my friends very much. The only thing about them that I will never get used to is that they can be very sarcastic. They say things without thinking and really don't have any compassion for other people. I am very sensitive, and get offended when they make comments to me. I have tried to explain to them that they have to watch what they say/do around me because I will take it literally, but they continue to do it. It drives me crazy.

Are you really sensitive? How do you deal with it?

Eh, sort of.

I think my problem, though, is that I'm just not amused. Rarely are the people who get sarcastic with me funny. Maybe if they were, I'd crack a genuine smile rather than a fake one to pacify them...

I used to be, but I'm not so much anymore. I've lightened up a lot and I like to joke around a lot, but I still care about people and all that stuff. Just try to not assume right away that they are serious about stuff.

You can only be sarcastic if you're good at it in my opinion- my best friend and her mom are both very sarcastic but they SUCK at it and it isn't funny at all, but they think it is

You sound just like me. I am a pretty serious person, and I really don't like when people joke around with me, or use sarcasm. I have the tendency to take everything they say to heart. I always think people are being serious when they try to make jokes, and it has proven to be my downfall.

When it happens I will usually try to just brush things off so that I don't make a big deal out of something small.

I'm very sensitive. I don't like to show it though. I feel as if emotions should be held up inside, but I wouldn't recommend it because holding it up will only make it worst.

 If I were you I'd do the same thing to them..Meh..I guess you can call it bullying.. Just come up to them one day really serious and tell them in a firm voice, how you feel about this. You can even go Crocodile tear on them. (Its fake crying)
Just don't take things in. If they say something sarcastic say something back. Don't let this go on.

anytime anybody calls me ugly even though they're joking I start crying like a friggn reflex. i have issues i guess... but yah one time my friend called me a spoiled brat i got really offended. I think the best thing to do is try your best to ignore and tell yourself its not true. or just tell them it really bothers you
