I don't think a petition will help. I'm sure David has already realised the plea of members wanting to improve LiveWire. You can see that through the myriad of posts already in this forum and others. Admirable, but won't achieve anything.

I am sure when people start exploiting the holes in his security he will agree, but it seems like no one on this site knows anything about cross-site scripting so for right now it is safe and David is in his bubble.

Probably SQL injection too, it's hardly something that only LW is susceptible to. It's also not the easiest thing to try to find and fix. I do understand the problem though.

The one I found was out in the open, anyone with any small amount of knowledge could find it and it could cause a problem for a large number of users if exploited.

I assume David is the only one on the site who handles security.
