How often do you wash your hair?

The questions says it all.

I wash my hair every other day but I see most people here do it daily. It's okay if you use a very light shampoo but doing it every day destroys the natural grease layer of the head skin. So I'm advising you all to at least rinse your hair with cool/cold water, not hot.
I know this girl who does it once a week and her hair is really greasy.
