I'm on birth control pills right now but I'm not very pleased with them. I have a dermatologist appointment soon and since Diane 35 is an acne pill as well as birth control, I'm wondering if my dermatologist would prescribe it to me. ?

I doubt that a dermatologist will overstep their area of practice. I believe it would be a violation of medical ethics if they do unless they have the express permission directly from your family physician or gynecologist.
