as you might know i have been told by a doctor that im going blind cause of a brain tumor.

So I figured i should learn braille so I could be prepared incase they aqre right.

I talked to a blind person today and they told me I should wait till I go blind to learn braille cause if I learn it now when I go blind I wont remember it cause I would be so use to reading it while looking at it.

Do you think thats true?

And seriously? when do they think it'll happen?
i'd just make the most of your eye sight now and take it step by step and just go with the flow.
I'd wait until it happens- it'll just stress you if you can't. x

Yeah that's true, unless you can figure out a way to learn without looking (ex- blindfold yourself) besides, it can't hurt, right?

I talked to a blind person once and he told me that when he was still able to see he started studying Braille and walking with eyes closed, but when he lost his sight (after a surgery) he couldn't manage on his own because he was used to see at least for a second where he was or where his finger was when he reads...

But study just for the case of studying it, it will make it easier to study it later...

Hope you won't need it.
