When I'm around my bf, I act much differently than I do when I'm with other people. It kinda bothers me. Do I have an alter ego? I really filter what I say around him cuz I don't want to say the wrong thing ya know... anyone else have this problem?

No, I act the same around everyone. Once I know I can be comfortable, I will say anything. But I never watch what I say.

My boyfriend used to do that though; he'd watch what he'd say until he really got to know how chill I am with things. He finally started letting loose. You just got to be comfortable around him.

thats not healthy. you don't have an alter ego you just have an obsession to be perfect (which is impossible) around your boyfriend cause you don't wanna mess up and give him a reason to leave you.

you feel fake because you are being fake/one-sided. learn to fuse your two personas together not to keep them seperate.

I honestly do that a lot. Me and one of my ex-boyfriend used to be friends before we started dating, and I would would always act like a goof ball. When we started dating though, I would turn like mad shy around him. I used to hug him all the time before we started dating, but while we were, I would get really shy and turn the other way. Which is why we're not dating, anymore =[

I guess that's what's happening. I'm aware of it and I try to change things when I'm around him but I always still hold back and I can't figure out why. Maybe I think he'll judge me.
