Because you get people from all different areas.  Some people speak their mind, regardless of how it may make others feel.

All in all, not everyone cares about others situations.  Either they enjoy telling people how they see things, or otherwise others people's problems insignificant...

All in all, you can't control many people.  Within the "assholes" you get those that will do their best to help you and support you... but ultimately, as a small microcosm of the world, you are going to get people who will do the opposite.

What people don't realize is that it takes a genuine need for support before people actually start lending support. Instead people post bullshit topics in DT&RM or the Sex forum and therefore get bullshit responses.

If you're unhappy with the support offered in a Random forum, try posting your thread somewhere else, or unchecking the "Show in Fresh Topics" option; that way you'll only get the people who frequent any particular forum responding to your threads.
