Okay, so I FINALLY got my pc to reformat. No problemo. Now, all the sudden, it won't connect to the net. I've done everything I can THINK of. SO I had to plug in my OLD computer, and I swear it's so slow it's painful..

Ummm, disconnect if completely from power and it's battery, if it has one, for like 10 seconds or so and then reconnect it. That's what I do.
