So, there's this guy. I've talked to a couple of you about him before. I really REALLY like him. It seems simple, just ask him out, tell him I like him, or make a move....right? WRONG. I'll explain the situation, but it's long.
We've been friends for about three years now. I liked him when we first met, a friend told him, it got REALLY super akward between us, and we didn't talk at all for the longest time. After a while, we finally got back to talking and became friends again.
We're pretty good friends now. We talk often, I see him 3-4 days a week (we are co-workers) and occasionally hang out outside of work with other people.
The problem is, those feelings have come back....AND I have reason to believe he has feelings for me as well. He'll go out of his way to do little nice things for me. He helped me with an assignment for school one night for three hours in the middle of the night. He buys me things when I don't even ask. He FLIRTS...a lot. He shows all these signs that he's interested in me, but than some days it's like I don't even exist. Mixed signals are so bad.

I would just come flat out and say everything to him, but because of his personality, it's hard. He's very friendly, nice and outgoing around people he knows, but it's hard for him to trust people. He tends to be closed in about his emotions and he hates talking about himself. I'm afraid that if I say anything to him he'll avoid me and keep to himself just to avoid talking about it.

...any ideas?

Could you have a friend of his say they've noticed a difference and ask if he's interested?
