In the Underground today, I was walking behind an Indian woman with a push trolley with a kid in it and her daughter, aged around 6. When they got to the escalator, the woman stepped on first with the trolley, but the daughter didn't, and I was behind the daughter...
...the girl was scared for some reason, and the mother was shouting down to jump on, and the mother was getting worried.
I just stood there and didn't fill the growing gap, now rather large between the mother and the daughter.
It was busy in that station and a large queue was behind me. For some reason I just stepped on abandoning the girl...
...she then jumped on after me and ran up to her mother.
Its at times like those I wish I was th person I want to be. When that girl hesitated in a busy station and by the second time the mother shouted I should of picked her up and put her on the escalator...instead of just standing there and then leaving her, letting the crowd behind me follow on.....

Could nature make a man of me yet?
