I doubt this would fit under the science forum sense there is nothing scientifically mentioned in this 'statement' or interview; so I think this forum might will fit it well. Are any of you familiar with what Dr. Edgar Mitchell has been saying recently?
Before anything...if you don't know who he is......Dr. Mitchell is a former astronaut at NASA. He was the sixth man to walk on the moon. He was one of the only 12 men to ever walk on the moon.
He is now coming out and saying that aliens do in fact exist. He also said that the government has been covering this up for about 60 years. NASA of course was quick to play the comments down and have been quoted to say, 'Dr Mitchell is a great American, but we do not share his opinions on this issue.'
I have seen several sites who have posted this story, and some are discrediting Dr. Mitchell, calling him "out of his mind"
...but if we don't believe the one person who HAS walked on the moon for the longest time (9 hours and 17 minutes), someone who has left Earth...someone who was part of the circle of trust within the military and at NASA...then if we don't believe him...can we believe anyone?
What do you think?
Personally, I have always believed aliens exist. I do not think he has gone crazy either.
