Many don't even remember the oath but oaths are my word and that is something that has value as long as I let it and it can never be taken from me.  I started becoming a scholar of the Constitution then so that I could fulfill my oath to the best of my ability.  I believe all citizens should be so diligent yet we live in a time when dodging jury duty is the goal instead of ensuring a fair and just trial is given to all.

I think Obama did have a valid reason not to visit these particular troops.I wouldn't want those troops to feel like Obama's visit was just to boost his campaign and not out of respect.

By the way I don't particularly like Obama in the first place, but I don't hold it against him that he didn't visit them.
